The time has finally come. High Gloss White is officially open, and ready to provide the world with insight into my ways of thinking and what I find interesting in the world of design.
My name is Andrew Eirich, and I am an 18 year old (soon to be) student who lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have been obsessed with architecture, fashion, and all other aspects of design since the early days of my life. I have a special place in my heart for mid-century modern style, quality handmade fashions, and great new architectural designs.
My design aesthetic, in the past year, has evolved into something which I view to be very fresh, clean, and bright. In order to achieve this look, I have acquired many accessories and furniture pieces which have a lovely high gloss white finish. It started in the various housewares sections of any store I would happen to be shopping in. In my mind, every side table, every knick knack, every lamp base, and every vase would just look better with a sparkling new coat of high gloss white paint. Every item I picked up would receive the same treatment in my imagination.
“Do you know what would make this better?”
“High. Gloss. White.”
It became a part of my everyday life, something that each one of my friends could associate with me. Everyone who knows me knows I love the look of high gloss white. For me, this name was only fitting considering my history with this oh so simple, but oh so amazing color. It exudes a certain brightness, and timelessness that I want to emulate in my blog.
Anyways, now that we’ve been formally introduced…
This post is from me, to you, as a “welcome” into the world of High Gloss White! I encourage you to bookmark this site and revisit it frequently to see what’s new!
